หลังเหตุการณ์ 14 ตุลาคม 2516 ผมนายสาทร เจริญภักดี,
ตอนนั้นเป็นนิสิตปีหนึ่งคณะ
ครุศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย:
ผมได้เดินไปแถวหน้าประูตูใหญ่จุฬาฯ มีผู้สื่อข่าวหนังสือพิมพ์
Student Weekly มาถ่ายรูปและสัมภาษณ์ แปลเป็นไทยได้ความว่า
"เราสูญเสียมากกว่าที่เราได้รับ
สูญเสียชีวิตหลายร้อยชีวิตเป็นความสูญเสียอันยิ่งใหญ่และเราไม่รู้ว่า
รัฐบาลใหม่จะดีอย่างไร ผมต้องการ
รัฐบาลใดก็ได้ที่ไม่ใช่รัฐบาลทหาร ประชาชนไม่ได้ไม่เกลียดนายก
ถนอมอย่างมาก
เมื่อท่านเป็นนายกครั้งแรก ท่านได้รับอิทธิพลจากจอมพลประภาส
แต่สิ่งที่เราควรจะเป็นความภาคภูมิใจของเรา
คือการที่เราสามารถรวมตัวกันได้อย่างแท้จริง"

of Education,Chulalongkorn University:
I have walked to the forefront of the Chulalongkorn University. A newspaper reporter
'Student Weekly' Interviewed and took my photo. This was message in the Newspaper:
Mr.Satorn Charoenpakdee,
a first year student of the Faculty
of Education,Chulalongkorn University:
'We lost much more than we gained.
Hundreds of lives is a great loss and
we don't know how good our new
government will be. I want and kind of
government except government by soldiers.
Thanom was not greatly disliked when he first
became Prime Minster, he shouldn't have been
influenced by Prapass.One thing that we should be
very proud of us is that we could really unite.'
